REQUIREMENTS TO APPLY FOR A RESIDENCY VISA FOR E.U. (EUROPEAN UNION) CITIZENS


1. APPLICATION FORM

The applicant MUST submit one application form, fully-completed and signed by the applicant in block capital letters and in black ink only!

2. PASSPORT SIZED PHOTOGRAPHS

The applicant MUST submit 2 (coloured) passport-sized photographs (Irish Standard photographs) in white background.

3. ORIGINAL PASSPORT

The applicant MUST submit their original passport which MUST have two blank pages facing each other and valid for 6 months from the date of departure.

4. COPY OF PASSPORT'S PAGE DETAILS

The applicant MUST submit a copy of their passport’s page details.

5. PROOF OF ADDRESS IN IRELAND

The applicant MUST submit copies of their proof of address in Ireland – via an/a utility bill statement, of one of the below utilities:

• Electricity Bill Statement

• Gas Bill Statement

• Water Bill Statement

• TV License Bill Statement

• Most recent Irish Bank Account Statement – If you wish to provide copies of your most recent Irish Bank Account Statement, then you MUST do so along with one of the above utilities.

6. LETTER OF INVITATION (LOI)

The applicant MUST submit their Letter of Invitation (LOI) document, which is a formal letter that is constructed in Arabic format, requested by the applicants company sponsor in Saudi Arabia and issued by the Saudi Arabian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Office in Saudi Arabia.

7. AUTHENTICATION OF BIRTH CERTIFICATE(S)

If the applicant is the Son/Daughter of the Saudi Arabian Sponsor that is inviting the applicant to travel to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, then the applicant MUST authenticate/legalize their original birth certificate(s) by the Department of Foreign Affairs Office of the nation that the applicant’s original birth certificate was originally issued from.

If the applicant is the Mother/Father of the Saudi Arabian Sponsor that is inviting the applicant to travel to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, then the applicant MUST authenticate the Saudi Arabian Sponsor's original birth certificate by the Department of Foreign Affairs Office of the nation that the Saudi Arabian Sponsor's original birth certificate was originally issued from.

Please Note:

• That if the Birth Certificate of the applicant is a document that is of Irish-origin, then the applicant will only need to authenticate their Irish birth certificate(s) by the Irish Department of Foreign Affairs Office in Ireland only!

• If the applicant's Birth Certificate is a document that is not of Irish-origin, then the applicant will have to authenticate their original Birth Certficate by the Embassy of the nation that their original Birth Certificate was originally issued from in Ireland. E.G. If the applicant’s Birth Certificate is a document that was originally issued in South Africa, then the applicant will have to authenticate their original South African-Birth Certificate by the South African Embassy in Ireland.

• If the Embassy of the nation that the applicant’s original birth certificate was originally issued from is not registered or located within the Republic of Ireland, then the applicant will have to authenticate their original Birth

Certificate by the Department of Foreign Affairs Office of the nation that their original Birth Certificate was originally issued from and also by the Royal Embassy of Saudi Arabia of the same nation. E.G. If the applicant’s Birth Certificate is a document that was originally issued in South Africa, where the South African Embassy in Ireland is not able to authenticate/legalize the applicant’s South African Birth Certificate for whatever reason, then the applicant will have to authenticate their original South African Birth Certificate by the South African Department of Foreign Affairs Office in South Africa and also by the Royal Embassy of Saudi Arabia in South Africa.

8. AUTHENTICATION OF MARRIAGE CERTIFICATE(S)

• If the applicant is the Husband/Wife of the Saudi Arabian Sponsor that is inviting the applicant to travel to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, then the applicant MUST authenticate/legalize their original Marriage certificate(s) by the Department of Foreign Affairs Office of the nation that the applicant’s original Marriage certificate was originally issued from.

• If the applicant is the Son-in-Law/Daughter-in-Law of the Saudi Arabian Sponsor that is inviting the applicant to travel to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, then the applicant MUST authenticate/legalize his/her original Marriage Certificate and also the original birth certificate of his/her spouse by the Department of Foreign Affairs Office of the nations that the Son-in- Law’s/Daughter-in-Law’s original Marriage certificate(s) and their spouse’s original birth certficate was originally issued from.

• If the applicant is the Mother-in-Law/Father-in-Law of the Saudi Arabian sponsor that is inviting the applicant to travel to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, then the applicant MUST authenticate/legalize the Marriage certificate of their Son-in-Law/Daughter-in-Law; and also the Birth certificate of the Son-in-Law’s Daughter-in-Law’s Spouse – by the Department of Foreign Affairs Office of the nations that Marriage certificate and Birth certificate was originally issued from.

Please Note:

• That if the Marriage Certificate of the applicant is a document that is of Irish- origin, then the applicant will only need to authenticate their Irish Marriage certificate(s) by the Irish Department of Foreign Affairs Office in Ireland only!

• If the applicant’s Marriage Certificate is a document that is not of Irish-origin, then the applicant will have to authenticate their original Marriage Certficate(s) by the Embassy of the nation that their original Marriage Certificate was originally issued from in Ireland. E.G. If the applicant’s Marriage Certificate is a document that was originally issued in South Africa, then the applicant will have to authenticate their original South African-Marriage Certificate by the South African Embassy in Ireland.

• If the Embassy of the nation that the applicant’s original Marriage certificate was originally issued from is not registered or located within the Republic of Ireland, then the applicant will have to authenticate their original Marriage Certificate by the Department of Foreign Affairs Office of the nation that their original Marriage Certificate was originally issued from and also by the Royal Embassy of Saudi Arabia of the same nation. E.G. If the applicant’s Marriage Certificate is a document that was originally issued in South Africa, where the South African Embassy in Ireland is not able to authenticate/legalize the applicant’s South African Marriage Certificate for whatever reason, then the applicant will have to authenticate their original South African Marriage Certificate by the South African Department of Foreign Affairs Office in South Africa and also by the Royal Embassy of Saudi Arabia in South Africa.

9. MEDICAL REPORT APPLICATION FORM

The applicant MUST submit their Medical Report Application Form which MUST be fully-completed by an Irish-physician in type-written format (electronic document), and signed and stamped by the Irish-physician also.

The Irish-physician MUST also include the Medical Council Number on the Medical Report Application Form also.

The applicant MUST then take their fully-completed Medical Report Application Form to be authenticated by the Irish Department of Foreign Affairs Office in Ireland via the below address:

The Irish Department of Foreign Affairs Office in Ireland will not authenticate any Medical Report Application Forms with the inclusion of the Medical Council Number

Please Note: If the applicant is under the age of 8 years old, the applicant MUST get their vaccination reports authenticated by the Department of Foreign Affairs Office of the country/nation that their vaccination reports was originally issued from!

Please also note: That applicant’s under the age of 8 years old, MUST not conduct and are not allowed to produce medical examinations for visa purposes, nor are they permitted to have a medical report conducted for the purposes of applying for a visa. However, children under the age of 8 years old MUST submit their vaccination reports, where the vaccination reports of the child MUST be authenticated by the department of foreign affairs office of the nation that the child’s vaccination reports was originally issued from!

10. POLICE (GARDA) CLEARANCE CERTIFICATE

The applicant MUST submit their Police (Garda) Clearance Certificate in which the applicant MUST request from their local Police (Garda) station in Ireland, where subsequently after, the applicant MUST authenticate their Irish Police (Garda) Clearance Certificate by the Irish Department of Foreign Affairs Office in Ireland via the below address:

If the applicant’s Police Clearance Certificate is a document that was issued from a Nation/Country outside of the Republic of Ireland, then the applicant will have to authenticate their foreign Police Clearance Certificate by the Department of Foreign Affairs Office of the foreign nation/country that their foreign Police Clearance

Certificate was originally issued from and also by the Royal Embassy of Saudi Arabia of the same foreign nation.

11. COPIES OF THE SAUDI ARABIAN SPONSOR’S IQAMAH (SAUDI ARABIAN RESIDENCY CARD)

The applicant MUST submit copies of the front and back of the Saudi Arabian Sponsor’s Iqamah (Saudi Arabian Residency Card) which MUST be valid for 6 months from the date of departure.

12. TRAVEL PERMISSION LETTER

If the applicant that is travelling to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is under the age of 18 years old or is a minor, the parent that is not travelling with the child MUST write a letter stating that he/she gives permission for the child to travel to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia with the other parent or gives permission for the under-aged child to travel alone, where this letter MUST be signed by the parent that is giving the under- aged child to travel alone or with the child’s other parent and also by an Irish-Solicitor and also by the Irish Department of Foreign Affairs Office in Ireland.

13. CONFIRMATION OF FLIGHT TICKETS

The applicant MUST submit a copy of their flight reservation details, where the flight details MUST state their departure to and from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

If the applicant does not wish to provide Confirmation of flight tickets, then the applicant MUST state their proposed date of departure on the bottom right-hand corner of the Residency Visa Application Form.
